For the November 2025 Deer Season, Little Sage Ranch will replace walk-in hunts with on-site lodging. 

  • Call or email mike at (540) 533-8847  or mike@littlesageranch.com to make a reservation and obtain an application package. Reservations are held until 15 June 2025 or upon receipt of full payment. 
  • Semi-guided hunts equipment you with up to date information and a pre-hunt briefing that covers ranch safety, habitat and the latest information from our observations and game cams.
  • Parking at west corrals off Deep Creek Road.
  • One whitetail in accordance with bag and possession limit of your Nebraska Deer Hunting License. Ranch hunter are further required to limit their buck harvests to one deer of 8 points or better and an estimated minimum age of 31/2 years. Following the hunt we perform a preliminary score and estimate age by examing the teeth.  All deer are also weighed (dress weight).
  • Walk-in hunters must complete a Ranch Safety & Orientation Briefing (45 min) prior to the day of hunting.  A hard copy map showing wildlife preserve area and contact information will be provided.  Call (540-) 533-8847 to schedule.
  • On the day of the hunt, walk in hunters must check in with the HQ by texting or calling (540) 433-8847 to let us know when you are starting and where you plan to hunt.  We also need to know when you plan to quit hunting for the day.
  • Daily refreshments and snacks at Ranch HQ includes coffee, tea, bottled water, and assorted granola bars, raisins and apples.
  • No smoking outside of parking area or the HQ area.
  • Use of 4-wheelers or All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) is prohibited.
  • Little Sage Ranch hunting is Fair Chase.
  • A wounded deer is a harvested deer.
  • No loaded firearms within the HQ or Parking Areas.  Firearm safety is top priority!
  • Hunters are reminded that the long distances and hilly terrain require everyone to be in the best physical shape possible for the hunt.
